AS far as this poll goes, I'd be willing to bet you the breakdown in preference is heavily related to the age of the driver, or at least lifestyle. Just an idea.....

What did ya say sonny?? Speak up god dang it! I can’t understands you young whiper snappers. Now Ethel shut up and get me a beer. I figure that old fart attitude would be more interested in comfort and who cares if its fwd or Rwd. All I know is there is a lovely fwd K car running mid 9’* and in the run I posted it kicked a supra all over the place. Soooo as far as preference its all good, but both can be made to go fast and take off fast. Just different. I don’t know what kind of rocket they put under the hood of that k car but it was not a huge engine. There was no NOS involved either. Tire to tire off the line mid 9s. I also love the GN’* and Monte Carlo but there particular good engine and set up do not make rwd or them better per say than other options. I figure for rwd I like anything with over 600hp. Oh oh I remember; the new mustang 4.6l engine can, with bolt on’* wipe your 400hp Monte Carlo up. 1200hp out of a modular 4.6. 600hp is easy. They were running 8s with streetable rides. Sorry to say the F word but it had to be done.

Oh there is also the newly posted WRX 700hp AWD. Um That will take the cake if it wasn’t so ugly.

400hp is nice and what I want for my fwd Bonneville. But 700hp is what I am going to need in any car I want to brag about. Sorry the 500hp range is no longer the Powerhouse. I figure the new Bonneville coming out or the GTO would be my pick, well if i cant get my hands on a Viper. I love spastic cars. Hey maybe I can steal my mother-in-law’* v10 out of her dodge truck and stuff it in my Bonneville ya there ya go.

Ty
That’* right start comparing Fwd and RWd and I wont stop.

With the danger of showing my age here, I will have to say that presently I prefer FWD. I have had several of both, in various stages of performance. Unless I planned on doing only 1/4 mile at a time I wouldn't revert to RWD and with all the technology coming forth with the FWD I'm not sure I would anyway. Once you learn to handle the driving wheels also turning, there'* no comparison in my opinion.

If you are implying that front wheel drive is for OLD peolpe , well !!!!!!! As for the FORD Let'* just say it'* not the motor it'* the car . Those little pieces of **** are made like model cars , beside I have T-tops and i'm restricted to roll cages . Any other mod'* would throw me into another class with instead of ford mustangs it would be ford motors cause they REALLY strip there cars down . My bro'* CAMARO is in the low 10'* and we are considering a SC!!! . I just don't favor a company that outs their motors electrical system in the front like ford (IGNITION) . To this day the ral pro'* are using RWD and AWD like the Germans , Italians , English and the over 40,000. japs . Let'* face it , to get the same performance , you need ALOT more money for FWD . Also I'm not sure if any one has ever been in a 9 second street drivable car BUT that is great . I hope he gets more than another 5000 miles on that motor !!!
