It should probably be mentioned that this button disappeared in 95 and was never seen again. Instead there was a mode button that replaced it and allowed control of the airflow.

Mode controls WHERE the air comes out. The ECON button was replaced by an A/C button. Just re-labeled. It does the same thing. Turns the A/C compressor off or Auto each time you press it, just like ECON.

Apparently not all GM divisions adopted this as well, because mine still says ECON. My moms 99 Venture with manual controls does have an AC button though.

But heck this thread is about Bonnevilles so ill shut up.
