digit dash
I have had a couple of cars with digital gauges and I didn't care for them. The gauges, that is. In my experience they were more difficult to read and less accurate. I'll take a good old fashioned swinging needle over a digital gauge anytime.

Seems that you'd either need to go the custom gauge route or find a car that has the same type of inputs as yours.
In 77, you should be cable driven for the speedo, right? You'd want to try and find a cluster that was digital and converted a cable spinning into that digital format. Or find a way to put a VSS (vehicle speed sensor) on the trans somehow.

Another possibility would be some of the older A bodies like the Cutlass Ciera... Maybe 88-90 or so.... Some of these had a digital dash that used a speedo cable and the cluster actually produced the VSS signal for the ECM.. Not sure how you could get all of the functions of the digital dash to work tho..

Dakota Digital is one of the big names that does digital gauges. Summit Racing Equipment is a vendor for them.
I guess a good question to ask is what parameters are you wanting to monitor? And how much dash space do you have to play with?
