Default Concentrated fuel injector cleaners

Good day everyone. I am curious to know if concentrated fuel injector cleaners purchased in bottles work, and what purpose it serves. The reason I ask is because
my mechanic says there is no such thing as a fix in a bottle, and that the only way
to properly clean the injectors would be at a garage with the right machinery.

There overhyped, maybe good to use if you get a bad tank of gas or something.

I don't know,..but I had Valvoline insta oil change, put in there 3 part injector cleaner in my Mark 8,..and my MPG went up from 20.3, to 23.1 over the course of 2 weeks. (M8'Ss have a mpg meter). So, that'* hard to argure w/. I'd use it again! Btw. my driving habits changed nada, and that was before i started any mods.

I've heard the same from a mechanic... that all the 1-bottle treatments do is move the dirt from your gas tank into the engine. :? Of course at the time he was selling me their concentrated high-pressure cleaning service for $100, so go figure. I know several other people who dump in a bottle every couple of months, and so far nobody has suffered any major engine failures because of it.
