Chipped Windshield
I work for insurance company. Our rule of thumb is that if the crack is more than 6" it has to be replaced. I have seen them repair cracks that practically disappeared. If the crack is in the drivers line of vision it needs to be replaced. Where I live you get a lot of gravel from the roadway and causing chips. I get the chips fixed asap and they don't cost me a thing. If I have to have the windshield replaced then my deductible comes in to play- that is why I carry a zero deductible.
