We mostly agree that Chilton'* seems slightly better than the Haynes, but I just looked a bit and did not find a Chilton'* for your year. That doesn't mean it'* not available, just that I didn't find it.
Anyway, here'* a Haynes, which is what I have. It is slightly better than used toilet paper and useful for basic info.

Chilton'* is actually MUCH better than Haynes. I tried both for my 95 SSEi, and Haynes was very confusing on some things, useless for others.
Best yet, although much more expensive, is a Factory Service Manual. They are year and model specific, and contain info on every part, wire, panel, nut ,and bolt, for every option that was available for your year and model.

In my previous searches, I was unable to locate a Chilton'* for the 2000+ series. A factory service manual, GM SPO Servicing Information DVD (both often available on EBay), or a subscription to www.alldatadiy.com are other options that are better than a Haynes. You can get a lot of information from the demo 2003 Bonneville listed there, but there are some differences between the years, so not all of it will be the same as your 2000.

ok the first one of the set isnt in the best of shape, but this was just the first 2000 i saw in my 30 sec search, but they are available. if you can get this for under 50, its a great deal
