That'* an interesting point macho_mike....
More weight for front for better grip... less weight in the back.

Or reducing the weight all around, not just the hood.... aluminum body.. like the Audi'* I believe. Or maybe it'* some other type of light weight metal that'* really strong.

We could use titanium..

Jason...the roof, hood and trunk of my car is all aluminum and the body panels are dual sided galvanized steel.

MachoMan, I like your logic, heavy front end keeps the front down, but no matter what, you hammer down on these powerful cars and the front lurches.

Wait, arnt our cars FWD??? And dont we want the weight over the front wheels that are under the HOOD? I think it would make more sense to have a CF trunk than a CF hood on a FWD car. Isn't this part of the reason that 00+ Bonnies are slower than the 96-99 flavors? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Improving the already nose-heavy (due to the FWD) weight distribution in any way should be helpful for handling, you know. RWD Toyota Cressida = 52/48 from the factory. If our cars were RWD, they'd naturally be more balanced, but until then, weight off the front = handling.
