I remember thinking ball joints, but didn't bring it up because you posted you had new ball joints. Torque them down, perhaps put some thread lock on them as well. As long as you didn't wear the holes over sized you should be fine.

yeah i'm quite comfortable hanging my head in shame on this one.
with the money i set aside to deal with this, i can finally buy my new sway bar mounts - and install them.
i can also buy winter steel wheels to mount my brand new blizzak'* : )

i completely agree
if you knew the circumstances leading up to this abortion, you'd know why this is just a kick in the pants on a personal level, considering He couldn't figure it out the other day either and blamed control arm bushings - which I already bought - now have to return
