I remember thinking ball joints, but didn't bring it up because you posted you had new ball joints. Torque them down, perhaps put some thread lock on them as well. As long as you didn't wear the holes over sized you should be fine.

with the money i set aside to deal with this, i can finally buy my new sway bar mounts - and install them.

i can also buy winter steel wheels to mount my brand new blizzak'* : )

At least it was a cheep and easy fix. We all miss things, so don't feel bad. I dropped and rebuilt my transmission only to find it was a blown fuse.
