Tha fact that you TRIED quite often is the reason you did that. At least in part. Some may have been the quality of the rebuild, but the rest was you loading one side of the diff.

10 bucks says the rebuild didn't include the diff, too. Another 10 bucks says they don't inspect the rest of the trans, and only replace the diff and housing.

I've been happy with my 4T65E. 168,000 miles and have never done ANYTHING to it. The shifts are getting mushy....especially between first and second. I'm hoping I can get another 5,000 out of it before a rebuild.

the diff was rebuilt when i had the tranny rebuilt, because that is what exploded the first time but do you guys know what gear that might be? I know its kinda hard to tell but ya never know.

That looks like the diff IMO..

Here'* an Intense Diff for comparison. Yours wont have the plates/springs in the middle.

Thanks ya i though it was the diff at first aswell. I am asking about doing a 3.06 gear change while its under there as well maybe toss in a few extra bucks and see if he will do it or not

There'* no reason you should be blowing diffs unless you're trying to do burnouts in a turn.

Just my luck its not covered under warranty they said it has some thign to do with the axle? I dont know but i am selling my buick soon tis is going to cost me 275 that i dont have right now i was trying to save for the new front struts

You don't have a 4T65. The 97 non */C models where the last year for the 4T60 which are known for blowing diffs.

I think you're getting railroaded - The CV shaft has no gears in it and thats the only 'Axle' you have since you said they rebuilt the differential. Whats their warranty on it?
