Dude, that sucks. I feel for you. Has happenned to me twice, but never had any damage done. First time they just got a bunch of cd'*, sucks but what can you do. Second time the only thing gone was my Bible. Found it a few days later between my house and the neighbors. It'* in a zipped cae, probably thought it was cd'* and threw it when they saw what it was.

I'm so sorry, man. I had my old van broken into. I had a portable CD player (with the tape adapter), and about 50 CD'* stolen from it. I was still in high school, and was a paperboy at the time. That was an enormous amount of value to me back then.

Like a few others said, the hardest part of a break in, is the loss of that secure feeling.

I'd love to see the pieces of **** that did it, be found and have their ankles removed.

Aww man, that BITES....that really does. I know when I still had my MINT '90 Electra PA, I had some NICE stuff in it, including a full security system (I still don't know how they got past it) and I walked up on the guy stealin my HU, OHHH, it was great, he took off running, I hit the trunk release button, grabbed a few wrenches and started chucking got him once in the head, but he kept goin. called the police and they said, oh well if he didn't steal anything, we can't do anything. sorry. so about a week later...dude. wheres my car? Yeah. They took the car instead. Mmhmm. about $900 in audio, $400 security system (with starter disable ), and about $600 in craftsman tools. I mean, come ON. So then I called the police. And said, well you remember me? Well NOW they took something. So I filed a report...nothing. So about a month later, d00d, theres my car! It now had steel wheels, the front was smashed, had two broken windows, and was muddy as all heck. So I'm on foot about 1500ft away, apporaching. And immidiately I call the police. Just as I do that, some weirdo lookin druggie woman comes out of a building, so I'm runnin towards her and she gets in and just FLOORS it, gone. So then I finally am speaking with the same detective again, and told him about it, and said, "oh yeah? well you probably don't want it now then, well I'm really busy, if you're done now, I have to go" last time i ever saw that car.

Now I'm afraid to buy more audio, I don't own any tools anymore, and my car stays bone stock.

Stupid friggin theives. I hope they all burn in hell.

You guys need firearms. I don't even lock the cars and nothing has been stolen yet. I have $$$'* in tools in my unlocked shed. A few "Trespassers will be shot on sight" signs and no one comes on the property.

I suggest you get an X10 type system with motion detectors. Mine records on the fileserver in the hall closet whenever there is movement. The neighbors' dog comes over at night. There was a racoon a few night ago.

I'm still hoping someone will break into my car, see my obsolete cd player and crappy cds, and maybe they'll feel sorry for me and bring me something real nice.

Man, that seriously bites. I hate that sinking feeling you get in your stomach when you first find the car like that.

Last time my car got broken into was when I had my '83 Bonneville, about 15 years ago. They took my CD case with about 50 CD'* in it, my amp, and my box with 2 12" in them. They destroyed my back seat trying to get to my woofer box, even though there'* steel behind the seats, then destroyed the trunk lock trying to open it, then destroyed my trunk lid with a crowbar to open it.

About a month later, the police found my woofers, although they were destroyed, and no box to be found.

2 years later, I found out that it was a "friend" of mine that did it. I found my amp in his trunk. Guess I should have looked closer to me.

Hope you can find out who did it. I really hope you can find replacement dash parts to get it back together. I guess for right now, Super Glue is your best friend. :P

It could have always been worse. I know it sucks to have it happen at all. I can't stand a damned thief, liar, or cheat!! Those people should be severely punished when caught. I agree, chop the hand off. It would make a great deterent. We had an insured that was visiting someone in Detroit and they tried stealing the tires right off of his Jeep. Luckily one of the neighbors caught them in the act and they only got away with 1 tire.

Sorry to hear that, I had the same thing happen in july. My Grand am got broken into and they stole my deck, digital camera and digital voice recorder. 3 months later my car got hit again but that time they stole the whole thing then ripped everything out of it they ghost rode it into someone'* garage. That'* why I have the bonne now, with a club, and the newest Viper alarm/starter system.
