Exclamation Bonneville wont start!

alright heres how it started. i was driving home from work, and the check engine light came on and soon after the low coolent level light came on. i went to napa to get coolent (mixed with water) and i filled it to the hot coolent mark. before i filled it it looked almost dry. then after driving around i double checked it. and again it looked dry. so i added the rest of the coolent into the container past the hot coolent level. and it was running fine all day yesterday. and i just tried starting it because this is my only car to work. and its trying to start but it just wont. the coolent container in the hood is like dry again. its not leaking and when i squeeze the coolent hoses, i can hear the coolent flowing. this was my guess: that there is a coolent return hose isnt working to give it a constant flow. but i think now the coolent is just adding into the engine and not back out.

so im asking you guys. anything i can do hear so i dont have to get it towed to a shop.
thanks

at this point it would be best for you to have it towed so it doesn't hurt the motor any further.

You probably need the lower intake gasket replaced. Your losing the coolant internally. Have you checked your oil to see if its higher than it should be?

If it is be very glad that it wont start because in this condition it will wash out a main bearing....

Is your car a SE SSE SSEi???

its a SSE. with no mods. ive kept up on regular check ups. and yea i did notice the engine oil being a little higher. and the smell of it doesnt really have a oily smell to it. so you think the coolent is getting past the gasket?

Sound slike you need new LIM gaskets. There'* a write up in the tech info area on this. Under $100 in parts and a few hours of yoru time if your good with engines.
