Aliright, I finally found the time to make one of my own.

Bill W.: Thanks a bunch for arranging/hosting this whole thing. I have to say you did an awesome job getting everything arranged, etc. It was also great to meet and spend more than an hour with you.

O'Neil, Nichole, Jessica and Andrew: Really awesome to see you guys again. Thanks for the ride down the track, O'Neil. That was awesome. Thanks for all your hard work during this whole thing Nichole! Jessica....stay out of trouble. Happy belated birthday Andrew!

Paul, Laura and Victor: Glad to see the Bullet fixed relatively painlessly. At least it was something small. Man that was a tiny Chevy dealership! It was really fun to see you guys again. Good times on the drive back. Miami Vice was pretty good...need to watch it again...with subtitles.

Matt W.: Great to meet you Matt. That'* a nice '97 you got yourself! John and I are gonna make it up there, hopefully soon.

Joel: Joel, definitely good times. I think that'* all I need to say. "Onward!"

Bob: Thanks for all your efforts concerning the awards! You and Bill did an awesome job. It was awesoem to meet you...enjoy that Arizona heat!

Boosty: Good to meet you, Boosty. Thanks for a couple of awesome drives back fromt he track. That interior is impressive.

Hans: Good to meet you Hans! I like the '93...those wheels do look nice. Haha, we'll see about the Bonnevile...if I see one, I might just snag it up.

Greg: Unbeliveable, the drive you made. That is truly awesome. Glad you made it back up there safely. Thanks for letting me drive your car! That was good times. Hope to see you again next year.

Tracy: Great to meet you Tracy! You're really awesome, and I hope you can make it out here again next year. I think John and I are planning a trek to NEBF next year...aren't we John?

Mike (sse1990): I hope this was a good vacation for you. Enjoy that CD! Its good stuff. Hopefully you can get yourself another Bonneville here soon...it would be awesome if you got one of those bodystyles Supercharged!

Rod and family: NICE EXHAUST! Really good to meet you and the family. Hope the rest of the vacation is good for you guys and I hope to see you next year.

Travis: Your car is insane...250,000 miles. Wow. And you still drive it like you stole it! Hopefully you can make it out again next year!

Mike Nice Jetta! It was good talking to you a bit. Maybe I'll see you again next year!

John.: JOHN!! Thanks for inviting me along...again. Providing none of my coworkers get arrested again, I'll be making this thing every year. Good times as usual!

Shadd: Your a crazy guy. Awesome burnouts! Great to meet you and I'm sure I'll be seeing you again soon...especially if you visit John or something.

This thing was totally awesome, and I can't see me missing another one of these. Who knows, maybe next year I'll have my own Bonneville! Thanks again everyone!

Default Re: Big THANK YOU to WCBF attendees

Here I am.. finally awake. Tried to scrape some of the bugs off the car.. it'* better...but will need a few more washes. Looking back at the first time I said "I'm in!" and since that point, there was never a doubt in my mind that I'd make it. 3,100+ miles each way is a long drive, basically 48 hours of driving with an 8 hour break 1/2 way through. Saw many things and states I'd never have seen or will see again...most of the attendees I met were exactly as they act and seem here.

DriverJohn John.. we've only chatted quickly and joked around a bit.. love the car.. your attention to the rest of the group is great. I noticed... I saw .. you wanted to ensure things were taken care of..and you did an awesome job all around. I am loving the camera and appreciate your help with that more than I can express. Expect to see plenty of great pics.

PFamily: Eh!.. What a bunch.. Nicole has sooo much hatred for Barney...it'* unbelievable.. Jess and Andrew..It was fun.. you two are great kids.. O'Neil.. "That'll make a turd, eh" lol I'll be laughing for years on all the fun.

BulletFamily: Laura and Victor.. having met Paul and experienced his driving..I can only assume what you go through. It was an experience.. and a pleasure. Paul..thanks for letting me burn off a little of a drag radials

Matt.: What a riot eh? Bugs can't land on the car...it'* too slippery eh! You were like a younger brother that whined about changing a belt. Thanks for the drive in the car..

Joel: Are you and Matt brothers? You guys could be..except he tans.. always a pleasure to meet the pit crew and driver for such a good guy.

Turtle: What can be said... we talk all the time, know everything about each other.. it was good to meet my best friend in person..

OleGreen&Grumpy: It'* already been said about the organization and meet. Great job.. Hitting the track is good....driving so many runs side by side with a friend ... well..you know the feeling.

Potatohead: It will quickly become your new nickname.. don't worry. I'll take care of it. Meeting you was an experience.. talk about a good guy... you were ready to show us around and do all this stuff, but totally understood that all we could handle was food (and fast cause Tracy was hungry) and sleep. The hospitallity was great.

Tracy: Copilot.. place to leave from and 1/2 the reason I was able to do this from the start. You are always there...

Duck Tape: We will joke around with you forever..a pleasure to have you along. The gps was priceless for those accidents and you were a trooper through all the razzing.

Rod and family: Very happy to meet you folks.. the car is amazing..

BillionMileGuy: Thanks for meeting up and setting the pace. Would have been a much longer drive w/o another friend and car to cruise with. When you came running over and yelled "suck it" about your timeslip.. what went through my head was... that'* my gatorback that got him to that time The roads were fun.. it was a long run

FordGuyMatt.: Hey.. that'* not a B'ville..or even a GM! Happy to have met you, yes to getting a b'ville.. you are one of the gang for sure.

Shadd: What a better way to meet a guy than to bump into you at the oil change place. You need new tires don't you? Amazing how you were able to swoop in, drive like you do and run back out.. Thank Dad for all of us..

Barney You little purple and green booger.. Soon as you sang your song..Bo had no defense. Cute babe you picked along the way, got the number for me? Odd how a stuffed dinosaur can grow on you and become nearly alive...you pull it off though. Hope the trip to Alaska was fun and enjoy your adventures. Funniest part of the ride home was when Tracy and Canadian said.. "you know... we miss Barney" :(

It'* beyond tough to say everything that I'm feeling. It'* the first real vacation I've ever taken and was amazing. Been too tired and doing too much to read and post.. I'll get back soon though.

Thanks to everyone that met us along the way, at the meet and helped to post and keep track along the journey.

Haro.. you look 12.. simply a tall 12
JWikoff.. How'* your corn?
BrianJ and Wife.. glad to get the chance to meet you both.. sorry..I was prepping for no sleep.
Bandit.. Did we miss the turn to Tracy'*?

... there are no words that can adequately sum up the friendships and fun times we've shared. It was very cool to meet everyone that I've read about (and laughed with/at) over this past year.

Driverjohn Granny'* Revenge is a great ride (bubble butt and all!) - keep your originality! It was great to meet you and chat by the fire, drive BonneEvil to get breakfast together, and chumming around the track. You're a sweetie for sure.

Supply Truck Matt Very cool to meet you and have you in the car w/us for your first "boxing in" experience!

O'Neil, Nichole, Jessica and Andrew: Gosh...there'* so much to say about you folks!
Andrew - you are such a sweetie and Happy Birthday again!
Jess - you're a cool chic and would get along great with my daughter; perhaps someday I'll ship her up there or have you down. You're more than welcome to if it ever becomes possible!
O'Neil - Campfire Clown was certainly well appointed as you had me laughing first thing every morning and last thing at night. Loved the stories by the campfire!
Nicole - You're like my long lost sister in the land of BC Mom'*. I love your spunkiness in addition to your generous caring and tending to everyone'* needs. You’re #1 in my book!

Paul, Laura and Victor: Victor, you're a fine young man - don't hurt your mom too much wrestling for the front seat. Laura - what a great time I had chumming around the campsite with you, sharing stories and sipping beverages together. You're a real "hoot"! And Paul - you are the karaoke king! Thanks for the farewell serenade and especially for the flag. I now have to buy an SSEi to properly display it.

Matt (SSeiMatt): What a sweetheat your are too! It was great to finally put a face with the name that I've been chatting with for the past 6 months. Our discussions over the "proper" pronunciations of words (Semee vs Semiiii) etc was hysterical.

Joel: You were the only one who left me without a good comeback - at least twice! And your tee-shirts were something else. Stay cool and behave yourself.

Bob: Stock-Bob - It was so good to see you again! Thank you for letting drive Tealy home from the races. Thank you for all your work on the awards, on bringing up the rear of the pack and making sure everyone was safe and sound. Congrats again on your win!

Boosty: Bud...what can I say about you? We've shared many meets together on the East coast… the fact that we were able to share a car across the country and back, in addition to tent space, without killing each other is something to be said. I could not have made it out without you - thank you for the opportunity and for keeping me safe over the miles.

Hans: PotatoeHead! Thank you soooo much for letting us invade your house. I didn't know what to expect from you after seeing your "drunk in the road" pics, but you're way cool and you drive much better than most Idahoians. I don’t know that I’ll ever get Potatoe Pizza again – thanks for the experience!

Greg: Cheetah! My newest bud since the "sister stuck in NY" incident. I applaud your ability to drive that far alone. Best of luck in Alaska and don’t hesitate to call or write if the long winter starts to get to you.

Mike (sse1990): The Canadian! Gosh – what a nut you are! (said in an affectionate way). And you really made our trip even better, despite the occasional need to smack you side the head. Your GPS saved our butts more than once. And now that you’re back, don’t revert to old ways…continue on your path of self-discovery and pursue the photography avenue. And remember the key to happiness…long showers!

Rod and family: What a great family and car! So glad I got to meet you folks, although it was short, it was certainly a pleasure. I’ve never been to CA before….I may have to look you up in the future.

Travis: Thank you too for keeping me safe while traveling cross the barren desert and plains. Unbelievable the mileage on your car – it rides like it is new. You’re a real trooper to have gone to CEBF and then turned around the next weekend and headed out to WCBF.

Mike (Greyhair) It was fun to watch you race on Friday and thanks again for all your help on Sat too. Glad to have met you!

Shadd: Your car is insane! And you are a sweetie as well. Very glad you were able to make it out despite the obstacles on the homefront. It was said that you’re the type of boy every mom wants her daughter to bring home….and I agree!

WillWren: Bossman! Gosh….to meet Willwren in person was almost like meeting a star. And to drive Zilla was one of the highlights of my week! I can’t thank you enough for all that you’ve done not only for WCBF, but for BC in general. Thank you also for the special COTM posters – I am truly honored to not only have received it, but to be on your wall of fame as well. Your sarcasm and wit is truly awesome; but even more so is the way you look out for everyone. And your voice! You, my dear, can call me anytime!

Also - a special thanks goes out to J.Wikoff and Harofreak for meeting us for lunch on our way out and back; and to Bandit, BrianJ, and Lisa/Tina for coming out before we left. I’ve said this before….but I’ll say it again… I am truly blessed to have such great friends all across the continent.

OK my turn here. I will try my best, but I would like to send off a general comment. I really wanted to do this at the campsite, but in my state of mind I don't think I could have gotten through it without a tear in my eye, as you may have seen when I was getting the awards.

First off, I want to thank every one that helped me to get to WCBF. Also I would like to thank all those that helped me through my very difficult time in my life, I really don't think I could have done it without you guys and gals. From the time I drove into the driveway at Tracy'* till the time I left her driveway many days later, I felt like I was part of a great big family, words just can't describe it.

Bill W.: Thanks for opening up your home to me during the meet, I actually was calling it home cause it felt like home to me. I loved driving zilla even though I did scare myself with that overpass. I am looking forward to trying to make it out next year, and if I do, I am going to the range with you, I just have to try that toy out.

O'Neil, Nichole, Jessica and Andrew: It was great to meet you all, Jessica you are still a brat, lol. I loved the ride I got in Bonne Evil on the way to get race gas, and the "testing" we did after having the end links put on.

Paul, Laura and Victor: Thanks for the flag considering I technically don't' even own a Bonneville anymore. It was great to meet you, I still can't believe how old you really are Paul, nice to meet another person from Sudbury.

Matt W.: I really enjoyed the rides I got down the track, it was great to finally meet you after chatting on MSN over the last year(*), looking forward to the next time.

Joel: What can I say, it was great to meat you Joelson Canadian, lol. Wouldn't have been the same without you.

Bob: Well what can be said, the opportunity to open up your car on the twisties doing 80-95MPH after I simply ask " how good are your tires", then the run up to 119mph, hehe I still beat you by 1mph. I really appreciated the talk we had about the situation. I am still smiling every time I think of driving your car.

Boosty: Without you I would have been able to make it out that far. Once you were finished hitting me for mentioning the R word, I really appreciated the conversation we had ton the way back.

Hans: You'll always be MR Patotohead to me, lol. It was great to meet you, thanks for letting us stay the night and rest up, plus I forgot my toothpaste at your place, lol.

Greg: Thanks for letting me ride with you to the track, I hope I didn't bore you to much with my situation.

Tracy: Well what can be said about you. You helped me more than you will ever know with things. I still laugh at the fact that I was in YOUR BED the first day I met you, without you I think I would have been hit way more in the head by boosty. The trip back from the track with you in Bob'* car was another experience I needed. I just can't even begin to tell you how I really feel and how wonderful it was to have you there. BTW, I still haven't needed a "long shower", I know you don't' wanna know that but I can't complain, lmfao.

Rod and family: It was nice to meet you and I love that exhaust. Great work.

Travis: It was great to finally wake you up on the trip through the twisties and for being the official pace car the rest of the time.

Mike : It was nice to meet you, nice car, even if it is a VW, lol.

Matt *.: Thanks for the CD, I listened to it a couple times on my way back home through Ontario.

Driverjohn: Thanks for the ride out to the coast, it was great. I will always remember you getting mad when we couldn't decide on a place to eat, that was priceless.

Shadd: I am proud to say that I was the only one that got a ride down the track with you. The ride back from the track was greatly appreciated also. Love the exhaust when you go WOT.

If I missed anyone, I apologies now. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and couldn't have happened at a better time and couldn't have been with better people. It was truly an experience of a lifetime, and I thank all those that made it just that much more special for me.

FYI, the meet planning was actually split up between the Pfamily, dj, and the Bullet. It wasn't all me.

My house next year may be a bit bigger, and have a yard, too.
