I tried to to you that in the Got Chrome thread.

John I fully acknowledge your post in Got Chrome. However, I highly doubt someone with 2001 SSEi rims with the smaller cap style would want to trade down to the older type. :?

The only person I can think of is TaylorD and he has stated he prefers the 2001 rims to the 2000 rims.

That being said, the 17" 2000+ Aurora rims are a bugger to find. I may be able to purchase them from GM, granted the price is right and the diameter is 6"

I'll look into that.

Jim, I'll take pics asap of the inside of them. I know that may be a problem if we do find other caps. But maybe we could make some fit, as long as they are the same diameter.

But maybe those Olds center caps would fit the same since they are still GM. If anyone has those rims or can get pics of those, if you could post pics of the center caps that would help a lot. Maybe gm-car-parts.com sells those center caps. Or even the newer style swoopy rims' center caps...you could easily cover that dart with a round Olds logo (at least it looks like you can). I'll keep an eye out here, and search around for them. I wish the chrome paint was an option.

Cool. As long as they are 6" (they do look like 6") we could make them fit if they don't have the same exact tabs. But since they are GM and still the same size, I bet they may have the same tabs....hopefully.

If you don't find out the diameter, I can stop at my cousin'* house. He has a newer Aurora.

Are the chrome caps for Jeanie'* rims and anyone else who has chrome rims, painted chrome, or 'dipped?'
I believe my are dipped, but ask FireDevil or my bro Logan for a second opinion on this.

HA! You wish.
