I keep hearing too much about this.

Next time I get my oil changed, I'm gonna see if I can get my o-rings changed.

The fuel rail is basically the last thing to go on the engine. Very easy to replace on your own.

Odd that this is happening though. Most of those guys would have mods where I think the rail would have been off at least once. When doing that I'd expect automatic replacement of the rings.

My 97 SC was all original and the rings didn't look overly dried out in Oct/Sept when i swapped them out.

I'll be interested in Rogue'* thoughts on this one.

there'* a '03 N/a police cruiser impala at a junkyard by me with an engine fire.. everything got melted, intake, battery, shock stuff, belts, you name it

i'm guessing it had to do with the fuel rail, too??

It looks to be a lot of things that could cause a fire.

Any type of leaking fluid on the exhaust or hot spots: oil, brake, p/*, fuel...

I'd say just check everything under the hood and make sure everything looks good.
