Am I missing something?

Pic isn't workin!!!!

Yeah mine was all cracked and messed when i got it, and then it got put in the ditch and hit a hard packed snowdrift. (Thank you standard brakes)

You actually make it sound quite important, and it really does look a little funky without it. :? Although, I do love the fact that my car doesn't scrape ANYTHING. Hmm.

I don't think the nearest JY has any two tone bonnies, nor does the better yard 50 miles from me. At least not last time I was there. So all I really wanna know...is it really worth it? I personally can live without if its not important. But it would look cooler.

Oh and I have pulled that down :? It used to be MUCH higher. And doesn't seem to stay where I put it.

Let me know.

It actually has a function beyond the esthetics of finishing off the bottom of the facia.

If you look around, most cars, regardless of make, have them for the same reason. My old Pontiac Fiero had two of them...one on the lower edge of the facia, and a second plate hanging of the underside of the radiator support. By limiting the airflow under the car, it improves airflow though the radiator and helps a little with the high-speed stability of the car.

Granted, the shape of the Bonneville has all the aerodynamic qualities of a brick...but it still a rough airfoil shape and can benefit from a little control of the air under the car.

Oh, ok, thanks for that explanation. I do know you don't want lift and all for high speed stability.

If I find one at a yard for a good price, I will just replace the whole bumper cover since its scratched on one side and also in the front as well. Its not a REAL big deal, but I suppose its not that hard.

thanks alot!
