This is weird, but it'* gradually getting worse. When ever I make a sharp turn at a slow speed, like if I'm turning around or pulling into a parking spot, my brake pedal pulses like the ABS are going crazy. And then the brakes lock up. The ABS and Traction lights come on every now and then too. Could it be a bad sensor?

I had the same problem with meh bonne when I first took her out after her not being driven for several weeks. After she was driven for 20-30 miles she was fine again. I am guessing your car doesn't sit.. I've also found the ABS idiot light on fairly often, all it takes is for me to shut her off, then restart her, and its fine. Also I think it helped when I did a hard brake from 40 or so.. because the ABS didn't kick in then.

I drive my car everyday to and from work, and then some. This happens ALL the time when I go to park. It can't be normal.

Sounds like a bad Wheel speed sensor. Check your wires going to the middle of your front wheel hubs. Its possible when turning your pulling a wire out or making a short.

Also, check your tire pressure. If one tire is lower than the other enough you can get wierd readings and the computer may think your slipping causing it to apply the brakes.

For a temporary fix pull the ABS fuse, but you'll most likely need the new VSS, which might require a new hub.

Its a WSS (wheel speed sensor) and its part of the hub which will have to be replaced unless its in the wiring connected to the sensor. The VSS (Vehicle speed sensor) is in the transaxle. Pulling the fuse will stop this from happening but will also disable traction control if equipped.

Well, my car is due for inspection so I'll just have whatever it is fixed. I was trying to pinpoint the problem so I know about how much $$ I'm spending.
