Lest we forget.....the SE is significantly lighter in curb weight than any other model.
With the difference in 5hp between these cars, does anyone know the difference in torque?
It probably came down to a simple matter of torque/gearing, and driver skill, but it'* also possible the Bonneville weighed slightly less than that GP.

My friend got booted off the track for running a 12.4 in his monza. Only because he didnt have a rollcage.
