2013 Chevy Impala oil
Just bought a used 2013 chevy impala the other day. Only has 40k on the clock. I get a few free oil changes but after they are up I was wondering what oil should I use in it? My other vehicles I just use NAPA 10W-30 conventional but they have over 100k on them and are a few years older. Should I just use regular NAPA oil like in the others or use synthetic or something else? Excuse my ignorance on this topic this is the first newer vehicle I have owned with low mileage.

Not for sure but I would guess the owners manual on you impala calls for 5W-30 Dexos 1 approved oil. You can google Dexos 1 approved oils, there are a whole host of them including NAPA synthetic.

Your owner'* manual recommends synthetic, 5W-30 Dexos 1 approved oil. Mobil 1 has always been my synthetic oil of choice, and it meets the Dexos 1 requirements. Walmart occasionally has pretty good sales on Mobil 1.

Dexos is a synthetic blend.....much cheaper than Mobil one....while it costs more than conventional oil(normal change interval is 3K miles), it also increases the oil change interval to 6K miles....
