Cuz you'd be changing it again in 50k instead of 100k. Or less than 50k if it was from a modded car.

These things take abuse.

Not slipping. Harsh shifting when cold, lots of torque converter noise when warm.

When I ordered mine, I ordered the number GMPD supplied for a 92 L67, $150 or so. They will automatically send you the new part number that has superceded it, and refund you like 40 dollars or something like that. I don't remember the final price, but it was around $100 with shipping.
