Maybe it'* just my puller that doesn't work well. The bolts are short, so I get just a little pull, then I gotta back out and redo it a lot.

get 3.5" - 4" bolts

I know why that issue is happening. I mentioned the lack of pull distance and Dan handed me a 2 inch super thick bolt. (aka..scrap) I dropped it in..got it to sit nice and flush over the end of the crankshaft..aligned the puller in tne end of it..and sqeezed the trigger...balancer came right off.

Pulled the trigger..on the 1/2" Ingersol Impact gun delivering around 700lbs of balancer pulling torque to the puller.

Huh, all this time, I've been turning the three satellite bolts a little bit at a time because I thought the center bolt had to be threaded into the crank...

Being a mechanics puller the words Snap On were part of the case it came out of. Although it looked like the standard steering wheel puller that can do two or three bolt applications.

Air tools..that'* where it'* at.
