Drove the 93 to work today. It was fine all the way to the dog-sitter. Went to start the car to leave the sitter'* house and go to work:

CLANG. Shut down. CLUNG.
Start it again. CLANG. Shut down. CLUNG.
Start again and let it idle. CLATTER CLATTER CLATTER!

I so did NOT need this right now! I have two members showing up tomorrow for the weekend to work on THEIR cars. We were going to have a little fun with the Zilla, but now I'll have to BABY it.

And it was ON THE LIST of things I WANTED to replace soon, but only because I KNEW it was old, even though it had no cracks or tears yet.

Didn't I just do this in July to the OTHER CAR??????

I wouldn't trade my putting on an ICM connector gasket for that job.

Bring a 12 pack to your local shop guy. It'* a thousand times easier and quicker on a lift w/air tools.

Recently pulled one on a motor w/o heads myself. took seconds for the gun to rip that pulley off.

HB pullers never work as quickly as you hope they would.

Take pics of the sensor rings, while you've got one in hand, I'm working on something...

:?:

A harmonic balancer is EASY. It'* only a 4-beer job. It'* still SORT OF a Pita, and expensive too.

I wouldn't pay a shop to do this if I only had one arm.

that'* why you bring the 12 pack to a friends shop dimwit.. You'd end up drinking 11 of them anyway.

I HAVE TWO FRIENDS COMING TOMORROW! An opportunity I'll miss.

Funny, both were here in JULY when I did the LAST balancer.

It won't be happening this weekend. Too much going on with John and Shadd'* cars. It'll have to wait until at least next weekend, so I'll have to nurse it along.

Yup. You can see it in that pic above from the 95 (pic with the plaque).

I might be able to shoot a pic in the parky lot today of the current one on the 93.
