Series 2 doesn't have to move the alt bracket like we do. But I'd be interested in the fuel rail solution as well, so I can wrap the Series 1 design up.

What would be the odds of finding a machine shop of some sorts for the fuel rails?

There are other options too. Like cutting the fuel rail and flaring in some extensions ro I believe one of the big 3800 stores (don't remember which) sells fuel injector extenders to go with thier IC.

Cutting and flaring the existing rail to add extensions would be a PITA, and problly never the the right lengths and seals..

My gut tells me a fuel injector extender would disrupt the spray pattern. I'd rather splice in extensions to the rail itself.

If the splices weren't done right, wouldn't that disrupt the spary also?

Do it right and then there won't be an issue.

The point I was getting at is that there'* such a small margin for error. If the extenders could disrupt the patter, who knows how well the splice is gonna do, especially with the extra flare in there?

Umm... You guys are in entirely different books.

fuel injector extender == a tube for fuel to flow AFTER the injector, Very bad idea.
fuel rail extender == splices in the tubes BEFORE the injectors, which make no difference AFTER the injectors. Good idea.
