Default pulley size????

I am ordering a SC pulley from Pulleyboys.com, I have a 1992 Bonneville SSE and I measured my pulley and got 2 3/4" is this size a 2.7? On thier website they say the stock size is 2.55 and the recommened size is 2.2, I just want to replace the pulley with the same size that I took off. The part number I see on it says EA85681, any ideas?

2.5 or 2.55 is stock. Why would you want to replace it with the same size? The pulley is steel, did you wear it out?

Without knowing your fuel pressure, or having supporting mods, or without owning a scantool, 2.3" is the smallest you can go safely.

What part are you measuring? The 2.55 is the diameter at which the belt meets the ribs. Not the outer flange.

yeah I'm measuring from the upper lip of the pulley, it should be measure from rib tip to rib tip?? Hey Will, bet your glad to hear from me again, lol, but no the woodruff key it slides onto SOMEHOW rotated inside the pulley about a quarter of the way around and then broke in 2, i got the key replaced and now a pulley. just measured and got 2.5, should I go a bit smaller?

If you have an intake, exhaust, and colder thermostat, know your fuel pressure, and have a scantool, go to a 2.2" and be prepared to go back up to a 2.3" if you get KR.

If you have an intake, exhaust, and colder themostat, know your fuel pressure and don't have a scantool, go with the 2.3".

If you don't have the supporting mods or know your fuel pressure, stay stock. There are probably a few members here that have a stocker laying around.

I posted under WANTED about the pulley and I'll do the same under this topic. Just sick of waiting to drive my Bonnie again, figured 90 bucks from pulleyboys wasn't bad to get her running again, I'll drop the word now, thanks
