Glad you got that second blower, man. What a price! Hopefully you'll find everything in good order when it arrives. You'll be up and running in no time!

Ok, Ben came over and I got a little ambitious. Tore the intercooler plate thing off and boy was I shocked! I figure you guys might be interested in seeing this. It'* nothing special, but makes me want to rethink my A/C intercooler to make sure I have enough coolant to have it work.

Now I was told that I can buy some square aluminum tubing to weld in and extend the runners, but look at this plenum! That sucker is HUGE!

Then we have the mondo intercooler plate which is absolutely filthy(you shoulda seen it before I cleaned it up a little for the picture!)

I'm guessing this is the IAT sensor, but I'm not certain. Can any of you confirm what this is?

And the kicker that really shocked me most. The runners... or lack there of!

Additionally, I was informed that running the A/C compressor through the intercooler would be a castrophe. I guess the A/C puts out something like 300psi, and that little aluminum doohickey just wouldn't take it?

Sorry I haven't posted here in a while Doug..... so I guess the A/C idea isn't gonna fly? Are you resorting to your old plan of air-to-air IC?

A water sensor wouldn't poke into the induction of the manifold. I'm 99% certain it'* the IAT. As for intercooling, I talked to my pappy. We're going to shell out the old 94 T-Bird I have, pull the pump for the windshield washer, or the wiper motor, rig that up with a tank and run water to air. Rip the A/C off the car entirely, install a dummy pulley, and use a heavy duty trans cooler and two A/C heat exchangers in the front for a radiator. I'm thinking I may run methanol for intercooler coolant.

Remember. He'* a Chebby boy now. And as we all know, Chebby'* don't make power in any way! Just playing of course. He gots that 4.3L in his truck and he wants that other M112 I have so he can try to rebuild it or get it rebuilt and put it on his pickytruck. I can only imagine he'll destroy the 1st and 2nd synchros because they just sound horrific as it is(Note, this truck is a 2005). Back on track anyways. I think I'll be able to pull this swap off for about anudder $700ish(car toon and all). Soooo.... maybe if I omit my trip to Floriduh in April, I could possible make a running Thunderbird Lightning. Of course, much props attibuted to the guys here that have helped me along the way wif the supachawja. I'm sure I'll post a vid of the run at Cordova if'n I can get a way to record it for those who are interested. I know it'* not a GM, but a car is a car!
