Default how do you tell if your SC is toast?

Mine seems to make a slight grinding noise maybe? I looked at the oil and its gray, if I change will it solve the problem or is it time to replace the SC(it has 213K on it.) if so where can I get one for a decent price? thanks guys

Take the belt off and grab the SC snout pulley and wiggle it back and forth. There should be no slop in it. If you feel like something is bumping on the inside when you wiggle the pulley, it'* probably the coupler that needs to be replaced. Pretty inexpensive piece. You can get a rebuild kit from Intense that includes the coupler and the SC oil.

I'm not totally sure, but I think with your year you need to pull the SC off the LIM to pull the snout off. Maybe Dan can slip in here and confirm that. If that'* the case, you'll need a LIM gasket set, etc.

I would suggest doing the bearings while you have it off. BTW.. 96+ can be pulled with the charger on the engine.

Rolling Performance has a great write up on their site. Basically it'* pressing them in and out. I've done it in my garage with Fred Flintstone tools with good success. A little farming is ok if you catch my drift.

Yes Intense has the bearings, I believe they sell a full kit with all the stuff needed.
