I wonder if the coupler is bad on my girlfriends car. There is a rattling noise in the supercharger belt area and also the car seems to shake/vibrate to the rattling noise.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Rich

A bad coupler won't shake the car. It will make a rattling noise at idle. Nothing more.

The noise is coming from that general area and the shop seems to think the bearings are shot. They are considering replacing the nose drive assembly with a rebuilt one from MAgnuson Products.

That'* alot of money to spend. Make sure it'* bad before the work is done. Remove the belt, and turn the SC by hand back and forth. How does it feel?

I will go by the shop and see what it feels like with the belt removed.
