windshield wipers won't stop-need help

windshield wipers won't stop-need help

I tried pulling the end of the wiper control shaft off.No luck.They still stay on.Do I have to replace the shaft?Also how?

Its a 2002 ssei.Its the one that has the super charger.I bought it full loaded .Its the best one they made that year.I hope this helps.
