Default Windshield wipers wont stop

Hey guys...it was raining the other day and had my window wipers on. Now I put them off and they still operate slowly - they won't go completely off. What can be causing this? Also, where is the fuse for the windshield wiper motor?

Thanks in advance....

there is a fuse for the wipers it is #3 in the fuse box inder the hood but i do not think that is the problem i would think bad switch where it does not shut off completely even though it shows it is in the off position or a chaffed wire that is getting power from elsewhereand powering the system

Sounds like a bad switch. Try a junk yard or Auto Parts Fast at RockAuto for a new one.

I had this same problem about a year ago. End up finding the plug from the Wiper Assembly has tons of water in it and was causing the whole system to short out. I would hit potholes and such and it would send the wipers on with no way to turn them off. I had to replace the wiper assembly
