Default taillight burnout?

so i was told my taillight is burnt out, but i beg to differ. its true that when i put on my brakes, the driver'* side middle light doesnt light up like it should, but it does come on when i hit the lock/unlock button on my remote.

is this something that can be fixed by a new bulb, or is this something deeper i should deal with? if so, how do i fix it?

oh i did i showed her your first post immediately, followed with a "ha! i told you!" she rolled her eyes and asked me why i even listened to her. grumble. if i hadnt listened to her, i wouldve heard [for the rest of the night] "why ask for my opinion if youre going to ignore it????"
