Door Courtesy Lights Wont Shut OFF On 94SE
I have a strange one for someone to solve. I have removed the headliner in my 94SE with sunroof in order to get it recovered and to reconnect the sunroof drain lines. In order to keep the wiring harness that controls grab handle lights (3), sun visor lights (2), console lights (2) and fog lights (2) from falling down while I drive (duct taping it to ceiling didn't work); I unplugged it from the socket on the driver'* side "A" pillar.
Now I noticed tonite that even after I shut all four doors securely, the courtesy lights on the lower part of the doors and the drivers footwell light over the pedals will NOT go out.
I've opened and shut the doors securely and turned the light sentinel off but they are still on. The only way I could get them off to keep from draining the battery was to remove fuse 6A from the fuse panel.
Any idea what would cause this AND where are the switches that turn on these lights when a door is opened? I just realized I don't see any switches around the door frames like I've seen on other cars?
I even went and reconnected the harness I removed to see if there was some connection there but the courtesy lights stay on regardless of whether that harness is connected or not. It must have been a recent development otherwise I'd have noticed and I probably would have had a dead battery.
Thanks for any help.

Door Courtesy Lights Now Off
OK - never mind. Stupid me. Though I thought I checked it I must not have - the interior light rheostat was turned on and THAT'* what caused the lights to stay on. I thought I verified it was off but that must have been the twilight sentinel rheostat.
Sorry for my stupidity. It does pay to check first things first.
