Default Silverstar alternatives?

My driver'* side fog lamp burned out awhile ago, and instead of spending another $8.50 on a factory bulb I think I'd like to put that money toward a complete upgrade of my front lights.

I want a white light to improve on the factory yellow output, but nothing that looks "ricer blue" (or any other color for that matter). Unfortunately Silverstars are way too expensive for my budget, and Cool Blues are on the high end for me as well. Anyone had luck with any other brands?

A member at Aurora Club recommended HiLites brand from this webiste (he also sells them on eBay under the name "carshowguy", but I've heard others haven't had such great luck with eBay bulbs...

Ideas?

Try Sylvania Xtra Visions. It'* the Silverstar in Europe. It'* actually their highest output bulb because it has no filter, and it will last longer then any Silverstar. It'* in pink packaging, and will cost a little more then standard halogen bulbs.

you could get a box for the low beams for under $40. They seem quite focused compared to the cheaper similar versions.
