Then if it had the correct key but bad contacts it would eventually start and if it started it would go into fail enable mode which would allow it to be restarted. This is what mode is used to be in when the wire broke in the ignition. Since it got fixed the contacts were able to read the key and noticed that it had the incorrect value thus enabling the tamper mode... ie security light on for 4 minutes, no crank and no fuel. Thus the ignition has the wrong key as I have already stated to the mechanic. He is "bypassing" the vats module now which absolutely amazes me and I would liek to award this simple man for a Nobel Prize for his hidden abilities.

So basically as I have said I really really need the car and this is going to cost me an extra 90 dollars whereas he has already charged me $225 dollars for a repair in which he got wrong to begin with.
