Default Remote keyless entry module location? module ID?

Can someone tell me how I can verify that the remote transmitter that came with my (new to me) '92 SSEi matches the receiver in the car. The FCC ID on the remote is : ABO 01014T. Would I find the same number on the RKE module in the car? Where is the module?

I tried the procedure for programming a remote in techinfo, and got the two chunks when I shorted the wires on the ALDL, but the remote did nothing when I pressed it. I checked the battery voltage; both were over 3 volts and together I think they read 6.18V. The remote looks OK.

I'm trying to bring the electrical stuff up to snuff in this vehicle, but the previous owner told me there have been electrical "issues".

Thanks,

if this is true it would help anyone that has lost a remote and is trying to locate a new one

could we sticky this ?? and if it works out it could be a good Techinfo

AH, Jeez, I didn't read the tiny little numbers right. The number on the remote that I got with the car is: ABO 0104T. But, I'm not sure if this remote is original equipment for this car. I don't think the RKE ever functioned for the previous owner. Here'* what I've got:
