Default Maybe I'll try in here....................

Not sure what could be going on, but the other day the Information Center on the car went out on me when I turned the lights on. I turned the lights off and it came back on.
what can be the issue and what would I have to do to find out how to repair it?

Thanks

Is the dimmer switch turned all the way down?
Does the compass react the same?

Ok..first rule of interior oddball issues.

Check the driverside floor for wetness. If the carpet is wet..it'* soaked underneath. The main ground buss runs along the driverside door jamb at the bottom and gets corroded with water.

Yes. I posted it with my Temperature gauge problem (now Issues part II) but didnt get anywhere with it. I got more replies on the oil pressure being low so I figured I would post it in electrical......well since its more electrical than anything right now. Lol.

No, but I do noticve that its touchy where as when I move it a little, the dash lights go out and then I turn it just a little bit and they come back on. So maybe the switch?

No not at all.
Check the driverside floor for wetness
I will be doing that today to make sure no water is getting uner there.

Thanks

It would seem so to me. That'* what I would look into first.

Always a good idea to check anyway.

I would expect the compass to react the same since they should both use the same input. Notice I say "should"

I would pull the cluster and check the connections. I think you are probably getting a poor connection internally.
