This happens almost every single morning, usually when its cooler outside aka 32-45 degrees. I hit unlock to get into my car, it works, i get in, get to work, shut the car off, get out, hit lock, the interior lights come on, but nothing happens. I then open the door, press the lock button on either the passenger side or drivers side door..nothing happens. I then have to manually lock each unlocked door. By the time i head for lunch it locks and unlocks with the key fob once again..it does this with either key fob as well.
What the heck is going on?....also..my old one liked to do this too.

So this same thing would apply to my 93 then..this morning it did it right after i unlocked it and started it, i tried it right away. then i shut the car off, started it again, kept trying the button..half way to work, it started working again.

I had a problem with my 93 (LeSabre) where the door locks quit occasionally and the air conditioning (manual) went into default defrost and the compressor always came on even when not calling for air conditioning. I believed it was a ground for dash controls either at the left parking brake area or the ground contacts next to driver'* seat and passenger seat under the carpet. I didn't troubleshoot it because it happened occasionally after starting car, varied with temperature and humidity, and my wife made me trade it for a pretty red new one at 150K miles.
you say it happens on colder mornins correct?? so i take it you are prob running your rear window defroster. next time check to see if you can move your seat (power of cource) and if you cant its some relay. your rear window defroster over heats or somthing like that. never could get a 100% answer to that one. but my car did the same thing. cold in the morn, turn rear window defroster on, doorlocks dont work and seats wont work. but when you hit the look buttons with your remote and the light comes on.
had me confused too. hope this helps
