Default Keyless Entry Control Module

Hey all. First time posting here, but great info so far. I have a '93 SSE with many of the same problems talked about here. I found answers for my haywire guage cluster, mushy audio controls on the steering wheel, faulty recline motors for the front seats and I will try the boost bypass when the weather is warmer.

My question is for a keyless entry module. The car was given to me with one key fob, and the remote module (I think) disconnected and placed in the glove box. With it disconnected, I have no remote entry or interior/courtesy lighting when I open the doors, but the power locks work. I reconnected it under the glove box in the passenger foot well and now the power locks don't work, but the interior/courtesy lights do, and still no remote entry. I would rather have the power locks than lights, so I diconnected it again.

Any thoughts or reccommends?

Thanks

Welcome to BC

Definitly one for the Gearheads and electrical gearheads so I'll move it there for you.

I might have that module sitting in the attic from my 93 SSE. Worked when I used it if I remember right. Just make me an offer.

**Edit: I have it. Three connector.
Model/FCC ID: ABO0302R
DOC: 218 K801

PN 25602655

Also has 3037 K stamped a the top. Came out of an SSE SC that I parted due to rust.

Make an offer.

Thanks much JimmyFloyd. Mine has 2280K stamped on it and DOC 218 K801 and 25602655 printed at the bottom. Sounds like a match to me, but I'm pretty new to this.

As for an offer, I haven't had a chance to call a junk yard, but I will get back to on that.

For kicks, I called a dealership for the part, and it was over $400 (Canadian). WOW! Of all the junkyards around, none seem to have it, but there might be one an hour away, but he'* not sure. I'll have to go check it out Friday and dig around their yard and see what is there.
