Headlight Replacement trouble
ok, am i a total dumbass, or do you actually have to remove the stock airbox and the battery to replace your headlights? I just bought a pair of silverstars, and i'm doing a CAI in two days (once the air tube shows up) and I'm not sure whether to wait until then to switch the headlight, or if it can be done quickly
any advice and or chiding / mockery is welcome

Undo the two black thumbscrews and the whole headlight assembly comes out. Usually they're frozen and you need to use a pair of vice grips to get them loose. Put a bit of anti seize grease on them before you reinsert.
Stuff,
Do you have an owner'* manual? If not, try to get one from a local junkyard/used parts place. They are very helpful for all the standard maintenance issues. If you can't find one, buy a Chilton'* for $15-$20. You won't regret the investment!

ok, ok, i deserve all..
upon reading the effing owner'* manual, i discovered said "black thumbscrews" and installed my silverstars... i'm really losing my touch... thanks anyway guys..
edit: and to my own consolation, it did require a vise grips to make those thumbscrews turn. must have been YEARS since the last headlight replacement.
