Andy- If the problem was in the dimmer switch I would think fuse #4a would blow. Does 4a still have a 10 amp fuse in it?

Are we talking about the instrument cluster/radio etc dimming via the headlight switch? Well, I just happen to be a victim of the nuclear meltdown headlight switch also. Lights and everything still work, so I just completley bypassed the dimmer portion. All my lights are now at full ambience.

Honestly..after the 95 melting year.. I think they got it right and the switches don't go bad often.

Now that TT ha provided the schematic, we need to know a couple more things. It would appear as if the rheostat shown on the left hand side about 3/4 of the way down the page is what controls the dash lighting. It has the yellow and grey wires going to it. Set the dash brightness that you desire, then remove one of the wires. Measure the resistance across the two terminals on the switch. (You may or may not get an accurate reading without removing a wire.)

Then, measure the amount of current by connecting an amp meter between the wire that you removed, and the terminal where it was connected. The first part will indicated the what wattage resistor iresistance needed, and the second part is for determining the wattage.

Alright tried printing out the schematic to see if it would clear up the wiring diagram but it did not. Ted ill send you my email so i can print out the pdf in larger and take it home from work with me.

I was running late so i forgot the number of the fuse but im positive it is a xC third fuse down on panel. I have changed it so many times i can feel the panel and know which fuse it is. But here is what triggers it. I changed to one of my many switches.
And only time the fuse blows now for the light switch is if the twilight sentinel is on. If i leave it off it is perfectly fine. Here comes the other problem if i accidently bump the twilight sentinel when turnin brightness or dimming or turning on lights it will blow the fuse.

PDF file has been sent. This is starting to sound like the lamp control module is what'* giving you trouble.

Sorry for no reply yet car has been in the shop for past two days waiting for my tensioner assembly to show up. Nearest one was in cincy at warehouse there. Im gonna go frankenstien on one of the spare switches tonight. So when i get the car back tomorrow/thursday ill see if it will work. Thanks for the pdf TT.
