Does anybody here know the bulb number for fog lights on a 2005 GXP? Everywhere I look says that I need H11'* for the fog lights on a 2005 but the 2004 GXP uses 880'*. I just took my car into the dealership and had the wiring harness for the fog lights replaced and had a set of aftermarket H11'* for them to put in and they didn't fit.
Didn't fit? that'* probably because they actually take 880'* I dont' even know what H11'* are? give me a minute and I'll find out. It'* very doubtful they'd just up and change bulbs like that after like 18 years or so (including intoduction of the SSE back in 89? used 880'* for the foglamp bulbs)
O.K this is a photo of an "H11"
very similar to the 881 curved base. I believ H11 are used in high end luxury cars Like BMW, Mecedes and such. The bulb looks more like an headlamp bulb more than a foglamp one, I'm pretty sure pontiac didn't go this route just for one year. (I do believe GM only uses the 880 series type bulb 880,881,893 ect. I could be wrong though,

That'* what I got for sure. I went ahead and ordered the 880'* and now I have to try to get a refund for the H11'*. If you check out this link you can see where Sylvania says to use the H11'* for the 05 GXP http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...RG-Results.htm
and this is the one for the 04 GXP

I guess they need to change their guide so that people like me that take their word for part numbers don't spend time and money on the wrong stuff.

Just went through this myself. The 880 is for the SE and the '04 SLE. The GXP uses H3'*. Just installed the SilverStar H3 ST two days ago. I have yet to find any auto parts store with the correct listing.

What'* interesting is when I checked the ACDelco website. I pulled up the '04 and '05 GXP and for each they show both the H3 and the 880 as a fog/driving light.

I replaced them with Sylvania H3 ST and they were an exact fit.

Ah yes, the fog lights are not going well for me. I just got the 880'* in and as you know they are not the right ones. I have ordered the H3'* so now that I am on my 3rd set of lights without ever putting any in I should have it right once they come in. Thanks for the help pointing me in the right direction. Now I just have to get them in once they show up. This is just one more example as to how helpful this site can be. Everybody here is so helpful, I just couldn't imagine being a Bonneville owner without it!!!
