Default got scan tool, still cant get codes need help

well i got my new scan tool today and it does the same thing the old one does, which makes me wonder if the pcm is going bad, which could explain why the car has been acting weird, any help on this would be appriciated. i have also noticed that the wires to terminals f and h are missing, i am using this as a reference: http://autorepair.about.com/library/...l-dtcs-36a.htm

I just talked with him on YM. He'* checking for ground on Pin B, and tracing all the wires from the connector as far back as he can. I suspect a broken wire between the connector and the PCM, or perhaps a PCM as he mentioned.

Can the gearheads give us wire colors and destinations for the pinout on the connector?

So the ford cartridge works (with the ALDL not connected), and the GM doesn't?
