Electrical Problems

Ok.... cleaned up all the ends.... still no improvement....
So I had the battery and alternator load tested... the alt tested weak, so I replaced it.
The local GM shop had one (140amp) .... for *cough* $500 Cdn.... ... yea that hurt.
Replaced it and it'* still not putting out much... only about 13.6 to 13.9... which is a bit better then before.
Bill... the alt'* never been replaced since I've owned it.... and *IF* the battery was replaced it was done the first week I got the car, back in Sept 03.... but I can't remember. I don't think it was. It'* an AC Delco battery in there now.... serial # 097256, but I couldn't find a date on the battery.

If you dropped $500 on an alt, i'd pick up a new battery. No need to hurt that super expensive alt.
More importantly, what is the CCA [Cold Cranking Amps] of the battery?
