I am gonna try to clean the contacts but its hard to get down inside the switch..

Ok..there was some serious corrosion on the contacts..like it had got damp or something..Could not get good pics of the corrosion but i took what I could..maybe this will help someone else down the line...
Gently pop the trunk button out of the door
Then use a jewlers screwdriver to remove wiring harness..
Take the switch somewhere comfy..LOL
Like my computer desk...
Use the jewlers screwdrive the push in and up on the grey tabs holding the button in.
Here is whats inside...
I cleaned all contacts and then added some di-electric grease to prevent further corrosion..(although this shouldnt get wet..but apparently it did)
Another Problem solved by Bonneville Club....
and to think I paid someone to do this For me last time D'Oh!
