2000 ssei
I admit I havn't looked into this very hard, but I cant get my trunk to pop. (with the remote or the glove box button). Since their is no "trunk fuse" and all my other electronics work fine i'm assuming its not a fuse. Any Ideas?
Also, my fuel door release doesn't work. I can hear it click when I unlock the doors but it doesn't release. Anyone know were I can find a new fuel door popper?
thank u

I don't quite know what you mean. (something to do with the valet key? Either way, the button in the glove box won't work. :?
Now a new problem too. my wipers stopped working
The 30amp fuse in the engine bay is fine. f**k, one thing after another.

Do the 2k bonnies actually POP the fuel door open? Mine just UNLOCKS. You still have to manually open it, but it'* locked if the doors are.
Your trunk very well could be a valet issue. Your owners manual should describe how this works.
However, with your wipers not working......are me perhaps looking at a common bad ground?

Sorry, your right, it just unlocks. Actually it doesn't unlock because its broke. I'll check out the velet thing in the book. as for the wiper, that just pisses me off. how am I suposed to find the ground. I miss the 60'*, or at least their cars, everything was so simple then.
You can probably bypass the fuel door lock by adjusting the lock mechanism to a different position. By doing this it won't catch the door and be able to lock it.
On the valet switch, in the trunk is a switch (at least on the 97'*) that when pressed keeps your trunk button from working. If you set it the other way, chances are you'll be able to unlock your trunk. Also I believe your year requires the key to be on for the button to work.

I couldn't find anything on the valet function other that their is a valet key that cant open the trunk or glovebox.. Could someone with a 2000 give me a step by step?
Please don't respond with "remote might be broke", I know for a fact that it works based on me being able to change the security settings.
Sound like the valet issue might be right, I just don't know how to fix it.
thank you

Ok..check for this. In my 97 (yes it happened to me recently) open the trunk and next to the inflator buttons is another, says valet. It locks out the glove box button, it may also lock the transmitter out as well.
If you have the button, flip it the other way and give both the remote and glove button a whirl. Hope this helps.
