Could be a bad switch. Can you test it? Another possibility that comes to mind is to check and see if your driverside carpet is moist.

If the lock contacts on the driver'* door are bad, neither front door will be able to lock in that manner. The driver'* switches are the master switches for each window/door.

Yeppers it was damp, i found the relay under the seat carpeting there... it clicks on lock but not on open i took it out cleaned the contacts and could ear somting rolling around i plugged it back in and now it does click on both lock and unlock but it still will not power the locks in unlock... must have a bad relay where can you get them?

You found a relay under the carpeting? Shouldn't be one there. IIRC, the relay for the locks should be at the base of the passenger side A-pillar. Not under the carpet.

I just went through this on my 92. That relay is clipped to the bottom of the fuse block. Passenger side, remove the hush panel. There are six wires in the harness that clips to the relay.

I got a "new" one from the junkyard for free. The guys just gave it to me.
