Door Lock Problems: "Synchronized Actuator Properly?&qu
My '92 Bonneville SE developed some pain in the butt on-and-off problems over the last few months. Sometimes the power door locks work...sometimes they don't. Soetimes they only work when both front doors are open but then stop the second the passenger door is even barely closed.
When they don't work you definitely hear clicking beneath the passenger glove compartment and kick panel but nothign happens.
My mechanic replaced the actuator and replaced the relay (just in case) last week but still nothing improved.
Had enough and brought it to a reputable PONTIAC-CADILLAC dealership here in Bridgewater, NJ and they had to use a "diagnistoc check" to locate a problem. According to the repair sheet, they found that the "new actuator needed to be reinstalled and then synchronized actuator properly."
Not sure if this is the prblem but I'll find out if the damn thing starts acting up again - then I'll know that it stil needs to be repaired.
Is anyone familiar with this problem and repair?
