door lock problem

Default door lock problem

on the Left front door lock motor there is a 2 wire connector and a 4 wire connector the 4 wire connector consists of a blue,tan,gray,black wires where do these wires go

in my FSM it doesnt state where they go

Okay, my '93 manual shows only a two-wire connector _at_ the motor, for gray and tan wires, both leading back to the door lock relay assembly. The actuators move one way or the other, depending on which way the current flows.

The door lock switches themselves have an orange power feed, and select between black for the Unlock trigger (note that _this_ black wire is not a ground) or light-blue for the Lock trigger, both again feeding into the door lock relay assembly.

I don't see a listing for the 4-wire connector; is it possible that that'* some circuit on the way to somewhere else? (e.g. door lights, outside mirror control or something?)

What'* the big picture here, anyway; can you tell us what problem you are trying to diagnose?
