Default door lock will lock but not open

This is the front pass door:

If I hit the unlock button on the fob or the driver'* unlock button, the pass door won't unlock. If I physically reach over and unlock the pass door with the tab lever, it unlocks fine. If I lock the doors with fob or driver'* controls the pass door locks fine.

I just bought a trim tool to remove the door panel. Anything I should be looking for?

Thanks,

Grease

Sounds like the rods just need to be lubed. Watch the lock slider when you press unlock. Does it look like it'* trying to move? If so, lube is all you need. There are little plastic guides for the rods. I usually use white lithium grease cause it seems to last quite a while. Be carefull when removing the door panel. The top is a pain.

If it looks like it is trying to move, but isn't, your solution is probably to buy a new bumper kit. This is a fairly common problem, I have had both of my front doors repaired with new bumper kits.

the bumpers usually are only a temporary fix...the solution is new latches...

Never had any problems with mine, which were done 3 and 4 years ago. As a matter of fact, GM has issued a TSB on this one with the bumper kit solution.
