Dashboard Dance!
92' SSEi My dashboard gauges, ie; Temp, Oil, Boost, Gas, and the In-Dash display are all dead. Sometimes they jump when gas pedal is applied but the second I stop accelerating they all drop dead. Any Ideas? Thanx
Took out the dash, gutted the clusters, all looks good, although I'm not an expert at spotting electrical problems. I screwed everything back and pluggde the two main wiring harnesses back into the dash and turned the key.....NOTHING!! Since I have everything ripped apart I would like to finish this myself. What now?? lol

Hmmmm.
Try dropping the battery (not literally) but disconnect the negative. Funny story, in my 92 Ford one day the speedometer stopped working and along with with trans. I would shift, but like it had one hella shift kit in it. I could not figure out what the f*** was the matter with it. So I disconnected the battery for some reason; I don't remember why. It sat disconnected for 5-15 mins and then it was back to normal. It did it me few day after that and I did the same thing and it went back to normal. Have not had a problem with it since. Just a thought

The fuse under the dash? yeah it'* good. I see alittle build up on the circuit board where ther cluster pins fit into it. What can I use to clean those tiny holes in the circuit boards?

Or alchol and a qtip. I cannot spell (Michigan school!) sorry.
Are you working on the car right now?
I have one of the boards right here in front of me. I tried a tooth pick and then a push pin to scrap off the yellow crap, but it seems to really want to stay on there. Ideally i would like to get some liquid on there to soften it up
