Default Clicking Fuse

ive been having a problem with my 95 bonneville since the winter started where my battery would drain if the car sat for more than 5 hours. i narrowed it down to one fuse that controls the horn, door locks and interior lights (not the maxi fuse) it is 4a or 10a i think. when i remove this fuse my battery does not get drained but i dont have a horn interior lights or power locks. today the draw went away but when i have the negative end of the battery off to check the draw there is a clicking coming from that fuse. today happens to be very warm and im thinking maybe the cold weather is doing domething to make my battery drain? anybody have any help...i know this sounds confusing but its hard to explain

Doesn't sound that bad. The clicking is odd. Shouldn't be possible from a regular fuse.

Lift the driverside carpet and look for water spots on the floor. My thoughts would be that your ground buss got wet and corroded. Most likely that is the source of your drain.

could the fuse actually be a relay.....Im unsure what that circut uses...I know a relay may cause a clicking sound when its tripped

nah its just a little fuse it clicks and when i pull it it stops, but it only does it when i have the negative cable removed from the battery, when everyhing is hooked up it is fine. im gonna pull up my carpet tomorrow and see if the ground buss is what is draining my battery, if it is the problem how should i go about cleaing it and fixing the problem for good? do you think maybe since it is getting warm out now it is drying out the ground and that i why it isnt happening as much? also is it a pain to pull up the carpet?

First, Welcome to BC. Are you absolutely sure this is a fuse that is clicking? If so, I've never heard of anything that strange, and I certainly hope that what ever it is, it does stop clicking when you pull it. The grounding bus under the carpet can not cause battery drain. Now the fact that it may be corroded can cause other problems. You need to focus on those components that you mentioned above, the horn, interior lights, and power locks. One of those items may be grounded and is more than likely the source of your problem with parasitic drain on the battery.
