Default Some thing on my car is clicking

Something on my car is clicking, it sounds like it'* coming from the driver'* side in the engine, I don't think it'* an engine knock I've tried every type of gas in it and stills click. sometimes I will rev the engine just a little and it will go away for a few seconds and then come back, and I don't hear it all the time, just when I'm idling. Hope someone on this forum can help me cause it'* driving me crazy I just bought this car like 5 days ago and I really love it I hope it'* nothing serouis.

I think I know what your talking about.

Its only as idle right? And it is continuous as if a fan is knocking against something?

I had this problem after my accident a few months ago, but it went away after a few weeks. Now and then it comes back but only for a few seconds. Something is touching something, but the car has not blown up in my face yet so I'm happy.

Mine does the same thing. It isn't a lifter or an engine "knock", so I have just ignored it. I will look a little more closely to see if I can determine what it is.

Jseabert has it too, but on the front head. It sounds like valve tick in a 79 Camaro. Don't ask me how I know or how old I was when I had that car. It'* no biggie. I'm surprised to hear it in a SSEi, though. SSEi'* have dimple rods, and should be less prone to do it, unless it'* coming from the rocker contact? But we have roller rockers, too. Beats me. Hector, what gives?

It is not a lifter/rocker sound. It is more like an electrical arch ticking noise from the drivers side of the engine. Not an internal engine noise at all. That is why I wasn't too concerned about it.
